While the fantastic weather draws people to Orlando, thrilling attractions and one-of-a-kind sights cause them to stay (or, at least, return again)! You will find theme parks, museums, delicious dining, and superior shopping once you reach your destination. A list of incredible things to do will leave you with endless things to say about this friendly city. Test your bravery by hopping on a sky-high roller coaster, and let your imagination come to life when you meet a classic cartoon character in the flesh. Discover the world of the ocean at an aquarium, or take a step further to explore the galaxies at the John F. Kennedy Space Center. Your options are endless in Orlando.
At any one of Orlando’s famous theme parks, you’re in for the experience of a lifetime. From recreations of your favorite movies to encountering marine wildlife and exciting rides that will make you want to hold on tight, the theme parks in this Floridian city can’t be beat. There are also many other gems to be discovered! Looking for a museum? Visit the Orlando Science Center to geek out. For a breath of fresh air, take a stroll through the Harry P. Leu Gardens, which are located just minutes from downtown. And for the daring, take a stop at some of the many alligator attractions to see these rowdy reptiles smile their toothy grins.
A vacation in Orlando wouldn’t be complete without exploring the Florida Aquarium. With gators, stingrays, and sharks (oh my!), this stunning facility featuring a glass dome roof houses cool creatures native to the wetlands. Look up to see colorful birds soaring with spread wings and down to see sea turtles swimming at their leisurely pace. Get in on supper when you feed the stingrays, and watch the kids make a splash at the aquarium’s rainforest water playground.
Another must see is the Kennedy Space Center! Just a hop, skip, and a jump away, the Kennedy Space Center is one hour east of Orlando on Merrill Island. Tour this incredible locale to deepen your knowledge of space exploration, along with past, current, and upcoming missions. A Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour will give you a behind the scenes look at NASA space travel projects and bring you up close to all the key players and parts that make launch possible.
