When you fly to Minneapolis/St. Paul, you’ve got the best of both worlds at your fingertips. Take in all the Twin Cities have to offer and make the most of your excursion. Come away with the rich history, cultural charm, and a renewed sense of appreciation for Minneapolis/St. Paul.
During your visit to Minneapolis, there are a couple of must-see places to explore, such as the Mall of America. If you’ve never had the opportunity to ride a roller coaster inside the mall, this is definitely your chance! This mall is so large it is estimated that seven baseball parks can fit inside of it. While you might not be able to walk the whole thing, though it is certainly possible if you give yourself enough time, taking a stroll through this iconic American mall is a must-see during your trip for a true Minnesota feel.
For more experiences with local shops and unique places to visit, make sure to take a stroll down Grand Avenue, a popular business and shopping district in the St. Paul region. Eat and walk your way through 30 blocks of Twin City storefronts. Shop classic name brands, but also support local artists and shops in the area.
If shopping isn’t your thing, not to worry! Experience a gorgeous city park waterfall and visit Minnehaha Park. Hike or bike throughout ten miles of trails and stop to see the Mississippi River. You can see bronze sculptures throughout the park and learn about Minneapolis’ rich history. And if you’re feeling inspired by some of Minnehaha’s bronze sculptures, you might also enjoy taking a stroll through the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, one of the largest urban sculpture gardens in the United States. Stroll through Minneapolis and work up an appetite as there are plenty of great places to grab a bite to eat. Whether you shop or walk your way through the city, the Twin Cities will not disappoint.
