While Orlando is known for its several theme parks, you can also get excited about the beautiful places to visit outside of the parks. Orlando boasts beautiful neighborhoods to visit, delicious food from various cultures (especially Latin American cuisine), and plenty of opportunities to bask in the sun. During your trip, be sure to visit neighborhoods like Winter Park, take a trip to Cocoa Beach, and visit downtown Orlando for fun nightlife and great eats as you walk through town.
Soak up the sun as you explore some of Orlando’s most popular neighborhoods. Drive to Winter Park and explore downtown’s used bookstores, delicious coffee shops, and some of the freshest seafood around. While you’re there, you might also be able to catch a glimpse of the peacocks that roam the residential area! Walk through a green and lush Central Park and, if you have some time, visit the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art for one of the world’s most comprehensive collections of Tiffany glass.
It’ll be valuable to rent a car while in Orlando as there aren’t many public transportation options. If you do rent a car, make sure to take a trip to Cocoa Beach. With gorgeous views, opportunities to play water sports, and events on the pier to partake in, taking a trip to Cocoa beach is a great way to explore the coast near Orlando. If the beach isn’t your cup of tea, don’t fret: there are plenty of water parks to explore in the area so you can get your tan on and have fun in the water.
If you’re hoping to hang with the locals, a trip to downtown Orlando is a must. There, you’ll have the opportunity to eat at some of Orlando’s best restaurants and walk around historic areas that were present before Orlando became a theme park destination. Take a stroll down Church Street and visit the iconic Railroad Depot. Explore the vibrant nightlife and experience Orlando’s welcoming community. Taking a trip downtown will not disappoint!
