We want to inform you of a citywide water shortage in Richmond, Virginia, that is currently impacting operations at Richmond International Airport (RIC). Travelers should be aware of several key issues.   

Restroom facilities are operating at reduced capacity, though portable restrooms located outside of the terminal. Drinking fountains are out of service, so we recommend bringing bottled water (in compliance with TSA guidelines) or purchasing water at the airport.  Some restaurants and concessions may have limited menu options due to the water shortage. We recommend arriving early to navigate potential disruptions, bringing personal hygiene supplies, and staying updated through the Richmond International Airport website or local news sources. 

Efforts are actively underway to resolve the issue, but there is currently no estimated timeline for the water restoration.
